I've been meaning to go try An Chay for years and finally went this weekend. It was delicious and I'm so glad I went. The coconut curry was very flavorful with heat that builds, and the vegetables were cooked well. I like that there is the option to have bread, noodles, or rice as the accompanying side; there could have been a larger portion of the side dish though. My husband had the lemongrass tofu, which he thought was delicious; he wished that the serving size was a bit bigger. The Pho was packed with all kinds of delicious vegetables and the broth was flavorful and deep for a vegan broth. The vermicelli bowl was brightly colored and had great flavors and textures. All in all, we would come back again as the food was tasty even if the portions were a little smaller than we would have liked.

Very chill. Instrumental hits gently tickling memories of yore. Several items can be made Vegan or Gluten Free if they aren’t already. Highly recommend.

An Chay is a gem for plant-based Vietnamese cuisine! Their dishes are vibrant and packed with flavor, offering a delicious take on classic Vietnamese meals without meat. The lemongrass tofu and vegan pho are particularly outstanding, with fresh ingredients and rich flavors. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff is welcoming and attentive. We were recommended this restaurant by a friend as a must-go place in Edmonton and wow, did it ever deliver — and then some! We tried a variety of starters and entrees including spring rolls, green onion cakes, green papaya salad, vermicelli, and pho. Every single dish was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The restaurant itself is clean, modern, and still cozy with comfortable seating. The service was above and beyond, and we were stunned to realize after we left that they’d given us a 20% discount! I think this was because one of us was a NWT evacuee, and that was so appreciated. She said it was the freshest and most delicious meal she’d had in years. We highly recommend An Chay for the stellar service and exceptional quality food.

Excellent service and food in a comfortable, upmarket environment. Awesome place to people watch. I had the vermacelli bowl and it was delicious! I just wish it was bigger. My wife had the Bun Bo Hue and it was delicious with a surprising amount of spice compared to non-veg Vietnamese restaurants. Parking is kind of tricky at times due to the hospital being beside it but worth the search.

This is excellent food. Everytime I eat vegetarian I'm hesitant, but this food was great. I had the peanut satay extra spicy. Both was tasty, they use a medium size flat noodle which I love, and the vegetation and tofu definitely added to to the soup. Would definitely recommend and would go again!

I haven’t dined in but have had great experience with delivery. The coconut curry is so delicious and comforting. The broth is rich and very fresh tasting. I always get a side of veggies to add because it’s abit on the small side. I also get a side of lemongrass tofu because it’s so delicious. I crave the food from here, and I’m not even vegetarian or vegan. Highly recommend.
